The Lickety Splitz Story!
Lickety Splitz started out as a scooping counter with 8 tubs available at the former Tusket Ultra Mart 20 years ago, as the years progressed, there was more demand for ice cream scoops. In 2015 the original owners rebuilt Lickety Splitz in the former car wash bay. It was a step up from only hard ice cream to no both soft serve and hard ice cream. However it was still a very limited menu. As the years went by they continued to add and improve. In 2017 they introduced cakes, in 2018 a second soft serve machine was bought to keep up with the demand.
In early 2019 the owners (Guy and Patsy) put the business up for sale. That’s when I (Logan) came along and bought the store. I ran it for one summer from the old location while the new store location was renovated and readied. The move to the new store officially happened in October 2019. Unfortunately, when I was ready to open the store for the first time in March 2020 at its new location, the entire world was shut down due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Luckily there had been a take out window installed and we were able to use that until the end of 2021. Luckily, in 2022 when the season started, we were able to open our inside ordering and eating area.
Since then, the business has taken off!
